October 2017 (Issue 237)

Our cover design this month is an exclusive Anne Baker Karabee Design for chunky machines using three shades of Aran-weight yarn. We’ve our usual pattern selection for standard, LK-150 mid gauge and chunky models including instructions for converting all of the designs for knitting on standard gauge machines. We’ve a gorgeous serape from Alison Dupernex to use up oddments, as well as our usual mix of designs. Our regular features include Clubline and Dear Anne. Sally-Ann helps us kick-start Autumn in Style File and we look at advanced holding position in Part 25 of our major series for beginners. Bill King gives us a few ideas that just might intrigue your hand-knitting buddies and Marianne Henio’s Designer Blog talks about her newly discovered ‘no-roll’ edge. You won’t want to miss Fran McCarthy telling it like it is for newbies and we also include news, books and fashion plus special reader prices in our Book Review.
